Website Studio for High-Performance Design and Construction

The Studio for High-Performance Design and Construction is growing and hiring a part-time Education Director to lead its curriculum development, teaching, outreach, and partnership efforts. This position is responsible for planning and coordination of the SHPDC’s course offerings, communication with students, teaching, and overseeing guest instructors. The Education Director will be the point person for a new grant-funded project to connect with Massachusetts-based vocational high schools to support these schools in integrating high-performance construction techniques into their carpentry curricula. They will research and develop grant applications, and be responsible for grant administration.

This is an hourly contract position for 15-20 hours/week, with the potential to grow over time. The compensation range is $40 to $60 per hour, commensurate with experience (no benefits). This position is fully remote, but programming is based in Newton, MA and requires occasional travel to schools throughout MA.
