We are a high-end residential construction company working in Connecticut, New York & Massachusetts. We are looking for a part-time (minimum 2 days a week) assistant project manager with expertise in sustainable construction materials and practices.
The project is a single family, 8000 square foot house integrating an existing antique building with new construction and designed by a successful NYC architecture firm. The owners of the house are passionate about green building technologies and practices, and very interested in the newest building materials. This position is created specifically for this project, to support the project manager and help guide and advise the clients in their materials selections and building techniques.
We are looking for someone who has an understanding of residential construction and sustainable building systems, and a broad knowledge of some of the more reliable products and building materials.
The ideal candidate is a team player with an even temper and professional manner who can communicate effectively. It is a collaborative role so a willingness to both follow instructions and provide leadership in the right situation is necessary.
The job itself would be two days a week on site – at our office in Lakeville, CT to start and at the job site trailer in Austerlitz, NY once construction is under way. Additional time would be expected to answer emails or do research as needed when off-site but these hours are flexible. Clean driving record and reliable transportation is required.
