Spring 2019 BCT Lecture Series

Speaker: Lisa Clauson, Director of Strategic Partnerships for the New England Carpenters Labor Management Program (NECLMP) in Central and Western MA

Location: 170 Olver Design Building

Women and people of color are largely under-represented among construction trades workers. 3% of the construction trades workforce are women nationally. To address these disparities and inequities, construction owners are increasingly requiring Construction Management teams to ensure diversity of their trades workforce. Learn the industry context, where diversity is being required on construction jobs in Massachusetts, what is being required of CM teams, how these projects are monitored, what progress is being made, what industry best practices exist, and hear from a woman of color in the field on how it affects her ability to make a living as a construction worker.

Free and open to the public. AIA & USGBCI CES credits are available.
